Dan's Fall Newsletter

Dear friends,

I hope this finds you well!  It was a busy and productive summer of teaching and performing for me, and Fall brings more of the same, including a gig at Mezzrow in NYC this Sunday and a tour of the country playing Irish music (details below).

The release of my new album "Outside In" couldn't have gone any better.  The release gigs in Chicago and New York were a blast, and there have been a number of great reviews in the press.  I was especially surprised and encouraged to hear the album featured on NPR's "Fresh Air" in July.  Kevin Whitehead's review provided a perfect summary of the album.  If you didn't get a chance to check it out live, you can listen below!

For those of you living in New York... I'm really excited to be performing for the first time at my favorite club in the city on October 16!  Mezzrow in Greenwich Village is a familiar and intimate space--the perfect venue for acousitic duos. I'll be joined by my good friend and bassist extraordinaire, Adam Coté. Sets are at 8:00 and 9:30.  Tickets and more info can be found here

In December, I'll be hitting the road for 3 weeks as pianist and music director for Irish singer Eammon McCrystal in support of his new album "And So It Goes."  We'll be traveling across the country from LA to Boston.  If inspirational Irish music played by jazz musicians is your thing, you can find the itinerary here

Hope to see you soon!

Dan
